NO ONE'S LEFT HOLDING THE BAG!
Minneapolis Star Tribune - October 21, 1999 Often the most ubiquitous and most odious autumn chore is raking up and bagging leaves – even if they only need to be transported to the nearby rosebed or compost pile. It’s even tougher if it becomes a one-person job, as you try to scoop leaves into a saggy bag. This task led St. Paul resident John Judge to design a new device to help out. His device is called Bag ‘em All®, a square corrugated plastic sleeve that slips into leaf bags, allowing them to stand open and upright while they’re being filled with leaves. When finished, it folds for easy storage. He made it in two sizes (for sorting toys, clothes, gardening supplies, etc.) – one for the 33-, 39-, and 45- gallon plastic trash or leaf bags – for $15.95, and another that fits into standard, compostable 30-gallon paper bags for $12.95. Judge said they’re available at all Hardware Hank and Trustworthy Hardware stores, plus at Lyndale Ace Hardware in Richfield, Ace Grand Avenue Hardware and Sun Ray True Value in St Paul and Suburban True Value Hardware in Roseville.
